Glyphosate

Glyphosate, a well-known component of Roundup, is a popular weed-killer produced by Monsanto.  It has been a topic of deep discussion and contention in recent news. It has been touted as a possible carcinogen by many following a study was done by The UN World Health Organization (WHO).  The International Agency for Research on Cancer, a France-based branch of the UN WHO classified the major component of Roundup; glyphosate as a “probable human carcinogen” In the United States, California is underway to have labels on this product read to this effect.

While this step may help the consumer better educate themselves, there is not enough conclusive research warranting the labeling of Roundup as a carcinogen. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has given it a ‘low toxicity’ rating and recommends people avoid entering the field up to 12 hours after application. In 2015, the European Food Safety Authority published an article updating the status of glyphosate to be “unlikely to be genotoxic”. Many other reported works have not been able to provide a conclusive study warranting one or the other side. We believe there needs to be greater work to be done to study the effect of glyphosate and Roundup before any conclusive decisions are made.

Whatever the decision in California, fertilizers and agricultural chemicals used like weed and pest killers will percolate under the soil into the water table. These chemicals may or may not affect consumers. However, we at Dynamic Water Technologies have a technology that is portable and have been proven to produce potable water in the first 10 minutes of its operation without using added chemicals. Introducing the electrochemical water treatment using Powell Electrocoagulation (PEC) Systems. The PEC has been proven on the field in flow rates as low as 10 GPM and as high as 2,500 GPM. The wide applicability ensures that the PEC is the best water treatment method for all water purification targets. The Powell system cleans your water sources with no added chemicals and uses the age-old proven technology of continuous partial electrolysis to purify the water of all impurities up to 95%. The system is designed to remove contaminants at high flow rates with minimal downtime and low operating costs. The waste which would be generated from the operation of this system in your homes can be safely disposed of.

Please contact us should you have more questions on the process and how it can be employed for your system. We guarantee that we can design a system to meet any requirement.
